x-ray surprise

we got a 3 year old chocolate lab last September from down south. he got into my wife's sewing basket and i was afraid he ate something that might harm him. i took him to the vet for an x-ray and they didn't exactly find what I was expecting. Looks like someone took a shot at him with a pellet gun. We are awaiting a diagnosis from Tufts on whether or not to remove. I am thinking I will have it removed regardless of what they say since it is lead. the white mass below he pellet is his heart.

I have my doubts that it would be worth having surgery. I've butchered deer that had everything from bird shot to 22 bullets in them and they were no worse for wear. If it isn't in the digestive system he'll be o.k.

Wow that is a surprise! No question for me I would have it removed.
