Just picked it up from the gunsmith, well I actually my wife did. So I didn’t get to discuss anything. I thought the front scope mount was gonna be on the barrel, but it is what it is. Going to shoot it today I’ll let you know how I make out.9D1C45CA-BA14-437D-8BDA-D90604C7CE26.jpeg4ECA27F8-4ED8-4BED-9F88-EBC91A464200.jpeg6AE61CF3-C022-42DE-96EF-12E335B3289C.jpegE3C289F6-C8F3-4EE1-B9BD-89E043EA92DE.jpeg

I’m real happy with it, puts them right in there. Remington core lock 200 grainers. The trigger pull is pretty rough but I just have to remind myself to squeeze.

Great vintage piece and perfect for the Maine woods when you come north. Send me some of those .35 core-lockts before you "waste" them all! 😁 They are non existant up here it seems.

Luckily I have about 12 boxes. I’ll shoot another half dozen shots a couple days before I head up to Maine and that’ll be it.

Very fortunate. I've never found it that available even when it was "available"!🤪 A complete thumper, may favorite Cal. for Maine woods but a sucker for the old / obscure stuff.

I picked some up right after the first shortage years ago. Should have bought more I found ammunition is a good investment.🙂

I have a .35 rem in a Marlin 336 that I'm a fan of. I've only shot the Hornady bullets out of it since I've had it. They seem to work on anything I've gotten to shoot them at.

Great looking old pump gun you have there.

Nice. I have one also equipped with peep sights. Never hunted with it though. I also have the hundredth anniversary edition 336, in 35 Rem.

I have mine set up with a skinner peep. My sons be been getting his hands on it lately when we get to go after bears over hounds. No luck for him yet though.
