I've had this Remington 141 35 Remington pump in the safe for many years. I also have an old Redfield 1 3/4 X 5 scope that I thought would complement the age of the rifle. I found a two piece mount on Ebay and it should be here Friday. Already spoke to a gunsmith that is very familiar with older Remingtons and he said he could get the holes drilled for the mounts and set it up. One of the mounts go on the barrel and one on the receiver. Normally I wouldn't drill up an old collector's piece like this, but as you can see from the pictures the previous owner had drilled some letters into the receiver pretty much ruining any collectors value. I put electric tape over it. :) I'm excited about the prospects of sneaking thru the woods with this rifle this fall. Will let you know how the project goes.

Just like my Dad’s 35 that he killed his NH 267 pounder with!

Nice looking ordnance LB. What is that knurled screw head above the trigger? An adjustment screw, or some kind of alternative to a drift pin? Good luck with it next Fall

What word is, pin punched into the reciever and qhy?
Does that look like a punch was used or drilled? I was told that if it is punched it might be able to be hammered back into place, smoothed a reblued. Don't know if I would go thru all that though.

I have a rifle that a previous owner etched his s.s. number into the reciever. To many old timers guns were regarded as tools.

Cool rifle. Been looking for an affordable one for a while.
