Hey guys, Well I'm new to the forums here so first of all Hi to everyone! I also have a few questions reguarding my bow, and I'd like to pick your brains to see what you know about it. My bow is a whisper creek archery stealth LX which I do like alot but if I'm correct they are no longer in business due to some sort of pattent/copyright issues with bowtech? From what I'm told they had coppied a bowtech design and manufactured it under their own name. Basicly they ended up getting sued and bowtech shut the company down. I'd like to know if anyone has some stats for this bow? and also if there was ever any reviews done on it? What I do know about it is it's 26" axle to axle 27"-29" draw lenght and set at 60#. Also I was told the speed of the bow is 320fps. Do any of you have any other info on these bows? anything would be appreciated! Also if I did it right you should be able to see a pic of it as well if not I'll post a link to one.

The demise of Whisper Creek had absolutely nothing to do with Bowtech. I've never heard of a single lawsuit being filed against WC, they made a pretty unique bow. It was simply an economic move.

here is the statement released by WC in January

It is with sadness that I send this announcment that WCA will not continue business in 2009, With the current economy and industry consolidation it has become impossible to continue this endeavor. We thank all those in this industry that gave their best and the people with in our company that have with great hardship continued to strive for the best out come.

Fuse has acquired the youth line and under the Freestyle banner they will take this product to the next level. The people at both Hoyt and Fuse have been working very hard to insure these products will be better than ever. I have gained a great respect for their staff.

In these hard times we all must stand together and trust in God that times will get better, and the industry that we all love so much will see grace. There are many small bow companies like WCA that are in the same position, and many of you small dealers. We will continue to pray for.

To our valued customers: I'm truly sorry, and as the President I can say we did all we could do. I felt compeled to send this announcment and heartfelt thanks to everyone.

I stand corrected

The reason I said what I did was because while trying to do some research on the bow I came accross some public legal documents online saying that there had been a lawsuit. Basicly it said bowtech vs wca but its been a while since I saw that so I really can't remember exactly what it had said and I haven't been able to find it since? However when I had found it whisper creek still had their web site up and running and shortly after when I tried to go to the website it automaticly directed me to an ebay auction site selling their misc parts and left over bows. So I assumed that they were gone due to the lawsuit. Either way I think it stinks cause it's a pretty nice bow and I got it brand new at the kittery trading post for $250 which I though was cheeeeeap! Thanks for the info though i do appreciate it

Whisper Creek made some real unique bows. We did a lot of their work for strings and cables when they were new to the industry. Real good quality and it's too bad they didn't make it. However, the bow you have will kill a deer dead all year long. If you have a specific question or problem with it just throw up a post and it will get figured out.
