So after we weighed Sarah's deer and it weighed 106, I was really thinking that the scale was way off. I started talking with other hunters who had weighed their deer at the same place. A couple said they had thought the same and took their deer to another scale. Turns out the scale was off 20-25 lbs. Doing some calculations of deboned meat, our calculations were pretty close. We ended up with 112 lbs of deboned meat, less the two shoulders that were shot out of her deer, and a bit of lost meat from the shoulders of my deer. Her doe was close to 130 lbs and my buck was about 180-185lbs. Nevertheless, very proud of the season we had. Hope to have some more seasons like this one.
