This is the first I’ve heard of it but I live in the SW part of the state. Maybe some of the more Northern folks will know.

I live about 20 miles from Orleans. Never heard of the buck, nor the Valley House, not sure it’s even still in business. When I get back from Florida in the spring I’ll see what I can find out.

Well I just read a historical account of the Valley House, the building burned down in 1998. Hopefully the mount was not in it!

Oh yes...the "Old Vermont Monarch"...some say he's dead...some say he never will be!

At one point...just based on the "eye test"...I thought it unlikely. But...then I saw some interesting bucks that came out of that area...and the thing was...when I saw them immediately this buck came to mind and at least gave me the belief that genetically... it is possible.
