Hahahahaha . Damn!!!!!!! Someone would really require a DEEP bromance with the Benoits to spend that kind of money on a coat. Then again, the cost of those knives is still crazy.

Don't you have a dozen of these? Congrats to you if this is the way the market on them plays out.

I bought one without the orange off a guy here a few months back for $200 I think.

Somone in the FB groups bought the same coat for $850 I think it was. Similar situation, listed as$1100 or $1200 OBO on eBay and they accepted his $850 offer. Either way, too rich for my blood...

I have 2 of that same jacket , I bought them for like $100 apiece, but I can’t sell them, I wear them.

At least the knives were made by Larry so that makes more sense. That jacket doesn’t even have the Benoit patch on it.

Those might be great blades and I know Larry was a popular guy but those knives are too crude for my taste.
What is the elastic in the hand warmer pockets on the Benoit jackets supposed to hold? I really hate that being in there.

I have two one is pretty nice the other is pretty crude. I don’t know what the open hole in the bottom of the sheath is for? Almost like he forgot to put something in there. And the knife would just fall out unless you tied it in.
The spent casing in the one-sheath is supposed to be one that he killed a buck with.

I wouldn't pay any of those prices even if it was the original jacket Larry was wearing when he shot the biggest buck of his life !
Now how does that saying go again ? Oh yea " A Fool And His Money Will Soon Be Parted " :D

The antler handled knives aren’t too bad but most of what I’ve seen are the leather wrapped variety. I really like nice knives and I carry a custom made one deer hunting, but I’d never buy one of Larry’s.
I don’t know what the time line looked like but that knife on the top looks like he figured out that he could sell them for the same money no matter what they looked like.

Completely agree. They are made from old chainsaw bars that were burnt or bent. Let's be honest...... if any of us saw those at the fair, had no idea that Larry made them......... We would be wondering why there wasn't any of the 1980 bubble top "survival knives" next to it. The first time I saw a knife he had made, my first reaction was "That's the best sheath you could come up with?"

The knives are living proof that anything and everything is "worth" what someone is willing to pay.

I’ll take my $12 Mora any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Way way way too many very good knives out there to pay those prices for that quality

I agree…I always have a couple of Mora (old wood handled ones) in my hunting pack. I have a Cutco Hunter (wicked sharp) for heavy work if needed.
I collected vintage Puma Knives years back…beautifully made but only for “lookin’at!”
😊
The top knife was made by my brother…calls it a “bird knife”
Not sure what the prices of these are now but they have probably appreciate in value somewhat?

That one was from 2000 my friend bought a commemorative rifle and two knives gave one to me as a Christmas present I think they were about 200 then.
