Just wondering if any of you guys have seen the new savage straight pull rifle? kind of a neat idea, however I doubt that it is faster for repeating shots that a remington pump.

Cool! I always drooled over those German Blaser guns that cost an arm and a leg!

Wow. As a left handed shooter who currently has a LH Savage bolt, I have two questions: how much does a short action weigh? and how much does it cost?

Per the Savage website the big game version in .308 weighs 8.8lbs and the MSRP is $1449. No thanks!

All rifles are way too expensive now.

I saw some good reviews of the rifle. One thing to bear in mind is the learning curve using that unique straight pull action. Also, the gun is very heavy to me. Such a bolt action rifle should be a pound and a half lighter than what it is.
