Lost our friend of 12 years today. Had a good long life but cancer finally took her. Too weak to walk this morning. Was a great companion for our family.

If you took her hunting, you knew where you could find her after the guns started going off, under the truck, hiding from the gunshots! lol My fault, bad training.

Well, no more pain she is at rest. Just thought I would give her a little write up to celebrate her life. Thanks for looking. 105578655_3248523772039720_2437682607553724880_n.jpg 106480812_3248523805373050_4825566606903900308_n.jpg 106001563_3248523868706377_3417084464272256125_n.jpg

That “day” always comes when we need to do what’s best for our loyal best friends. It’s dreaded by me and most dog people.
Very sorry for the loss of your family member...Elli is over the rainbow bridge now.

I've spent plenty of time around animals that I knew wouldn't be around someday, but there's something about that relationship with a dog that makes it painful. Sorry to hear sir. I just lost my middle dog this winter and I don't believe my oldest dog will make the end of the summer. I'm not looking forward to it.

Sorry about losing your pup LB. I have two yellows 12 & 11. They are showing their age for sure but what a great time we have with them.

Sorry to hear about your family's dog. When my last dog died it bothered me more than when a lot of my relatives and friends died. Your new pup has got it made.

Sorry for your loss longbow. I know the feeling all too well as we have lost 3 Golden Retrievers over the years. We are now have a 6 year old Golden and are saying she will be our last? We have had a Golden in the house since 1986 so it will be hard when she is gone.

Yup....I've always been a German Shepherd guy. Over the years I've lost a few. I can picture every one to this day as if they were here. All special.
My girl is now almost a year and a half and I knew when I brought here home last spring that that dreadful day is somewhere out there on a calendar somewhere.
Plan is no different for her. Love her and spend as much time as I can with her and give her a great life. By the looks of her over there on the couch,, its working!

Sorry to hear this...the loss of a beloved pet is sometimes even harder than humans we have known. Dogs love so unconditionally. I know your heart ache well.
