It is still 4 points on one side required in 5 wmu's. It is just different wording, because the brow tine does not count as a point. However, the vast majority will have a brow tine.
Just looked at my digest again on page 26 and it does not say anything about having to have 4
points to a side it has a three up yellow block highlighted. It just says brows are not counted.

No, I know. What I'm saying is it's just different wording, but means the same as the old rule/wording essentially. They just changed it to 3 and they made brow tines not count. When you got 3 that count, you still have 4 points to a side as before because the vast majority will have a brow. It's just changed very slightly, because some brows were likely to short to meet the definition of a point.

Or possibly it was opening up for a 3.5 year old 6 pointer (without brow tines) wasn’t being harvested due to ( back to the 2014 shit shows about ARs) studies that show areas with ARs tend to have genetically “gifted” deer such as a 1.5 old basket rack 8 pointers are being cleaned out leaving 3.5 year old 6 pointers .

I have no dog in the fight, so it doesn’t matter to me. I’ll probably never hunt there . Seems like 20 years would’ve created a “big buck destination” by now if it was a successful means of management. Instead all the guys I know drive through PA to hunt Ohio still.

I know plenty of guys that used to hunt Maine, NH , VT and PA that now only hunt NY and Ohio
