I appreciate your time and enthusiasm regarding all this (both of you), and I don't mean this post to discourage anyone from exercising their given rights based on the design of the "system". BUT personally...... the system has beaten me. I'm of the mindset and negativity that what those in power want done is what will get done. I'm not speaking about just NHF&G either. Town , state, or federal politics all seem to have a common denominator .

I reached out to numerous organizations regarding a different issue for 4 years. I was able to get one stream crossing returned to it's natural appearance, but no dice on numerous others. Regardless of how much conflict of interest to down right illegal activity , nobody gave a damn.

There's an agenda with this new camera bill. We will lose more land to posting once this goes through because morons will be banging on peoples doors on a Sunday morning at 7am or calling at 9:30pm looking for camera permission. There will be people who were never aware how many hunters were on their property , to an awareness that will become a "problem" although one never existed until they were aware of someone hunting and vacant woodlot. After all..... isn't the reason the bill was written in the first place because of idiots placing cameras too close to houses, on walking trails or in ignorant settings? The bill/law will not conclude the continuation of being morons when seeking permission. That will have a ripple affect of searching new area, needing new permission , with new phone calls or piss poor representation of the hunting community.

I sent numerous emails, made numerous phone calls, and submitted numerous camera videos of a very small area regarding I1 and the amount of bulls seen while scouting those small areas to no avail. The moose lottery now has nothing but the appearance of a cash cow to me.

I’m fast approaching the “I’m done” stage
I’ve done this legislation and Fg rules thing since 2006 and I still get hunters telling me I don’t know anything about hunting so shut up

Re moose I know rob will be getting up at the meeting to talk about them
All but a couple units are above what research says is the ideal figure to avoid winter tick crashes (0.5 moose per sq mile or less) but tourists seeing moose trumps herd health it seems with this new moose project leader and a crash is going to come again and what we will hear is “global climate change”

That said we literally can’t give up
Hunter presence is vital because the antis are flooding meetings and inboxes while most hunters don’t want to get involved they just want to hunt

We are on the verge of losing hunting with hounds, trapping, camera use and unposted land hunting

The one thing that makes me the angriest is the camera bill right now because that bill is 100% the result of “I can do what I want on unposted land” idiots putting cameras in totally inappropriate locations

I know of several of the incidents that triggered this and it’s so stupid

But I’ll post a different post about that bill this weekend

I have not heard first hand the testimony regarding the camera bill. I can't wait to read that post, although I know it will charge my blood pressure up.

However as I said....... morons are still morons regardless of law. They will find new ways to get land lost to those nasty looking yellow signs. It's almost impressive that a state with only 52k licensed hunters in a population of 1.3 million can make such a shit show of something.

We as hunters only make up about 4.5% of the ENTIRE US population, yet find numerous and foolish ways to conduct ourselves. Whether it be instances like this or making sure millions of acres nationwide are posted for personal use. It's hard to sell the "stick together" mentality when we've had a quarter century sample size of TV hunter copy cats in the industry setting a piss poor example or approach to particularly deer hunting whether that be food plots, posting of land, keeping your deer on your land, not allowing someone to recover a deer that ran from one property boundary to another and the list goes on. That doesn't sound like much of a "brotherhood" but sumbitch..... there's a lot of folks who got rich selling that ideology.

We can celebrate that we bring over 8 billion dollars a year to our passion, but those receiving the higher end of those profits weren't doing it for conservation purposes . No different than any other business or entity, they did it for bottom line and wealth and they were damn good at it for number of years.

You guys keep fighting a good fight. As I said before I appreciate, respect and understand your passion and determination.

There’s cameras with scent drippers., cameras with hanging tampons and tree stands on my land right now that I have no idea who’s they are. I know they haven’t been touched since November. They aren’t cellular.

And that’s a great example of morons being morons. They Just assume that a piece of metal can stay attached to a tree they don’t own , until it’s “convenient “ for the person who placed them there to remove them. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around being that arrogant or inconsiderate.

As far as the moose population in zone G, I can attest first hand (with plenty of video evidence) that they are thriving. My land in Groton is littered with moose poop every year. Closing zone G was a real head-scratcher for me.

I downloaded (over a slow link) the two large PowerPoints, but saw nothing about the camera rule I keep hearing about. Where is that?

I had a lot of people hunting in Rumney last fall but never came across any trail cameras except my own.
