I used an 1895 guide gun in 45-70 for many years before moving to a 7600. I have always loved carbine style rifles, and regret selling that one. I often think that I would love to hunt with a lever again, maybe a .35 Remington of an older vintage. I always look for a 336 sc on the racks.
I've got a Winchester model 64 32 special for sale....... :D

I have owned/own 7600s, 7600 carbine, Savage 1899, lots of bolts, and muzzleloaders. For me nothing carries and shoulders as well as my Marlin 336C. Not even close and that pains me as much as I like my Sako.

I took my first buck with my 336ss in Indiana a few weeks back. I wish I could do more hunting in MA with that rifle, it feels great, and is particularly nice for me as I am a lefty.
