NC outfitters for deer and wild piggys?

I was gonna go to Anticosti but that fell through. Since I have a house in western NC I think I might like to hunt in eastern NC where I read that there's an abundance of deer. Does anyone have any recommendations for outfitters in that area. Also- It would be nice if I had a friend to share the experience. Talk soon-Sonny S.

My house in western NC in a town called Brevard. Lots of deer in my gated community but even more tree huggers! Its within spitting distance from Pisigah National Forest, Nahantahala National Forest and Dupont state forest. Theres more bear than anything. Deer are pretty sparse there.

Western NC and the Blue Ridge mountains are very lush. LOTS of rhododendron and mountain laurel. In the summer it rains almost every afternoon.

On a side note, did you know John "muzzy" Musacchia? I used to hunt on his farm and was lucky enough to hunt with John senior, before his passing. I also hunted with John Jr. Their farm is pretty close to you up there in NY.

I actually hunted with the prototype "Muzzy" broadheads before they were released to the public. Had one blade completely break up on the ribs of a doe, while they were still experimenting with "Rockwell" hardness.

I some southern guides when I did the Suffern sport show. The outfit is called Daughtridge Farms outfitters. They have tropht areas and "meat" areas. Meals and lodging and skinning included. 3 day hunt (2 buck, 2 doe) - $1400. 5 day hunt (2 buck, 4 doe) - $2000 They're located in Rocky Mount, NC
Not a bad price after looking at the prices for Anticosti. If you're interested let me know. It would make for a helluva photo if we had 12 deer hanging after a weeks hunt! LMAO!

Just saw this thread. I live and hunt in NH and I've also been hunting eastern NC the past several years at Buffalo Creek Outfitters. Lots of deer in the northeast counties of NC. You can check out their website at nchuntingcamps.com
Going back this year as well. Private cabins available, meals, guides, 3 days $1320, 5 days $1800. Generous allowance of 2 bucks, 3 does per week trip. Special deer/bear combo available as well. Archers I've met there have limited success though. It's really best for rifle or muzzleloading. No piggies there.
Good luck in your search. Northeast NC is a great area to hunt.

Only NC Outfitter on the eastern side that I'm aware of that does pig hunts is Cottonwood Plantation. Tried getting something worked out for a hunt a couple years ago and could never get it done with the guy.

I've chosen Choanoke outfitters in Ahoskie NC. A good friend of mine went there about 4 years ago and was really impressed. He said that he killed the biggest buck he ever shot. Anyone interested? I saw more of these in North Carolina last week than I did deer.
