just had report ks posted up they lost 30% of deer herd to ehd / blue tongue. mother nature definitely knows how to balance herself. harsh reality for sure.

Maine has harsh winters and coyotes - Midwest has drought and coyotes.

kind of ironic. I set a ground to hunt this fence row the last morning.
look who shows up. at first saw pics blown up on Ipad and got a little sick thinking I had made wrong stand choice. it even on last day I would probably have given him the pass.

its just sad to see that's for sure to see the hunting/deer take it ok the chin like that.

out of 14 guys that I know 2 130" deer have been shot so far. you definitely can still kill a good one if you are in the right spot. I just did not pick the right spot that's all.

EHD was tough where I hunt, too. We found a couple of dandy bucks in the water as well as some does. Who knows how many there were that we didn't find. I guess I was lucky to score this year.
