Jupiter la Mer - Nov 18-21

Got back from Jupiter la Mer on Nov. 22nd. Four hunters, 8 tags, filled 7, 5 bucks (10pt, 8pt, 2-7's & 5). No real mature bucks seen or taken. The 10 was very small. Still all in all we had a great time. Going back next year, same group and time. Group consisted of me and my son (our 3rd year) and two friends, their first year.

Love those "miniature" big racks...!

No unusual shots......one doe was killed with drop shot at over 250 yards. All other shots were under 75 yards. I used a browning 7mm-08. Love that gun. In three years hunting there I've taken six deer with six shots, four were drop shots.

Nice! Looks like you guys had a fun trip. We just got back from Martin Le Mer. Tougher than normal but still a pretty good hunt.

Read a report from the private outfitter Pourvoirie Lac Genevieve stating that their take per hunter (1.49) was worst since 1989. Things looking up though for next year with relatively quiet December compared to last two. Still love that place regardless.

Have you ever hunted through any of the other outfitters? I've researched Safari Anticosti for a few years now and our group is considering it for the November 2017 season. I like the fact that they don't hunt in October. I'd appreciate your feedback.
