Jackman conditions

Thinking of heading to the Jackman area this morning for the weekend to deer hunt. Did the snow crust up or….? Good luck to all.

I was up there on Tuesday and it was a thick crust with about 4" of granular snow underneath. Really loud!

We received a ton of rain Wednesday. I can't imagine that made it any better.

My buddy is planning on heading up to use my camp for tomorrows hunt so I checked with a friend who said it’s loud as it got down into the teens last night but should soften up tomorrow with the rain. Looks like a high of 45.

Go for it last day frontstuffer hunters. You never know. I once shot a nice 10 point buck on Green Mtn walking fast out of the woods, just watching out ahead. Last day. Cold, and tired of hunting. I had decided that has long as his track remained heading towards my truck, I’d stay on it. That was his mistake.

Yep. That’s it up there. Southern half of the state gets one more week.
