Is anyone starting to step up their practice yet? I'll have 3, 3D targets up when I return to the camp next month. Would like to work on some of that 40 to 50 yard practice so that those 15 to 30 yards shot are much more solid.

I haven't shot yet but these cool days make me want to. I usually start out just taking a few shots to get my muscles back in shape.

Honestly, I wish I had it in me to be one of those guys who shoot all year long, but I just don't. I'm with you, these cooler mornings and evenings really have me wanting to start shooting off my roof soon.

Shoot all year here. Spring we open up the big range, usually a dozen targets out 90 yards. About a month before the season we adjust the range to in the woods and more realistic shots. Quartering, remove the bags and only animal targets. Max range is 50. And we start shooting out of stands .

Been shooting since the snow went out. 5 3D targets August is broadhead practice and the next few weeks will be from a stand. We don't start till October but I shoot usually 4 days a week now. Can't wait to get hunting.

Had to hang up the archery equipment for this season. Just had surgery for fractured vertebrae and herniated disc.
Recovery going to take a while so this season is over before it starts.
Have 10 weeks to get into shape before my annual trip to Maine deer camp.
I'll be ready by then.

Best of luck with the recovery. This year you will shoot the big one and your buddies will drag it out for you. Make sure you enter the big buck contest. lol

I'm excited to get out for a sit on a power line with my new 7600 Friday morning. Hoping to see a bear out walking around. I've been getting some real good daytime pics of both bucks and does, but I'm sticking firm to no archery hunting this season. I will be ready to go come ML!!!!

BearHunter...heal quickly.

Been shooting 30 to 50 arrows a day since the snow left. Switched to broadheads 2-3 weeks ago. Hopefully going out tonight for my first spot and stalk attempt.

I've not stopped shooting, just shoot less often during the winter months. I have a short range in my cellar I keep myself engaged in. Makes it nice and I shoot at 1" squares to challenge myself.
