Nice looking rifle LB. Not sure what you do with all of them. I feel bad that I don't use the few that I have.:(
I love Brownings. Grew up hunting with a Browning Auto 5 for small game, so the BAR was something that interested me. I may actually sell some soon, safes are getting tight.

My favorite go to rifle is my Marlin Guide Gun in 450 Marlin! I use the leveroution ammo 325 grain. It's topped with Leupold 2x7. Where qe hunt long shots over 200 yd not likely. For the longer range it's my Ruger Model 77 in 30-06. I reload for a lot of my guns so it makes it even better for performance.

Just got the rifle today. Very light, compact and length of pull is perfect for me. Barrel is 17.5" to where it enters receiver. Will post pics when I get Leupold and DNZ mount on it View attachment 23150

Gotta get me some walnut for my BAR carbine...pretty!

Very nice piece of cow hide too......don't want to make any marks on that lovely semi auto! Looks like it would fit nicely in a holster too😉

My present go to hunting rifle. Ruger #1 Light Sporter w/22" barrel in .35 Whelen. Topped with a Leopold 1x5 with the factory reticle replaced with a 3 minute dot. Load is either 225 grain Barnes or 225 grain Sierra with a healthy charge of 4064. 20200213_090309_resized.jpg

Browning x bolt left hand in 280 AI topped with a, leapould vx HD5 2X10X42 with back country 1pc rings in the 35 yrs ive been reloading this caliber ive killed a, lot of game in several states, ,alaska & canada with it
Its the original chambering as it was, desighned by p. o ackley not the new nosler/Remington wanna be, which means, the cases have to be fireformed from 280 rem brass, The factory ACKLEY brass wont work (severe head case seperation)

My favorite last rifle, carbine Mowbizz now owns! It was my Blaser until I put the 3-12x52 S&B scope and the bipod. It will be my first rifle I bought it Germany in 74', a Carl Gustaf grade II 30-06 left hand I recently had the the barrel cut to 18.5 and need to get a scope on it. No rush since I only use a shotgun for Deer and have for years.

Mine continues to be the Sako. It has been north, south, east, and west. From coyotes to moose, it hasn’t failed me. Thinking about a scope upgrade as my eyes get worse.

i also had a Ruger #1 that shot like that. I know there are all sorts of things you can do to the forearm but after a while you get tiredof fooling around and just want to shoot. It was an easy rifle to get rid of.

I agree about the .280 being underrated. I looked for a long time years ago to find one in a 7600. No love.
I have, 2 7600 in 280 remington not a bad rifle
Accuracy could be better but over all not a, bad rifle

I have a 6.5 Ruger American Predator...shoots amazing for a "cheap" rifle. I also have a 7mm-08 X-bolt that shoots amazing as well. The 6.5 won't do anything that the 7mm-08 can't do. Recoil is similar. The only benefit of the 6.5 comes at extreme long range target shooting from what I can tell
I have, 4 x bolts,(all left hand with custom bartlein 5R barrels except the 6.8 it has, its, original factory barrel ,) ¹1 -30-06 long range (1/10twist 1-280 ai (1/8 twist rebarreled from 270 win) 1 25-06 1/9 twist & 1 6.8 western, not sure what the twist is, (which may get eithier sold or traded for a 308
Nothing wrong with the factory barrels i just prefer 5r twist( brownings are 4 twist).
Brownings bedding job on the x bolt however
Really suck i had to redo the bedding in. All 4 of mine

I just called Chris at Browning firearms he said no other magazines will fit that gun only the 10 round. I told him some states don’t let you hunt with a 10 round magazine. He said you would have to have a gunsmith modify the magazine so it would only hold five. I thought that was kind of crazy. Why have this big magazine sticking down when you only want to put four rounds in it.
Longbow,
They tried telling me that a custom barrel wouldnt fit my x bolts, One phone call to bartlein and i proved that theory, wrong x3
I love my x bolt rifles, but brownings customer service sucks
