That's awesome at 5 years old. 4 chapters of that book while on the bus! Took me a week to read four chapters, but I'm a little slow

My 6 year old came home with these yesterday all on his own. I told him I would read them to him.

This has to be my favorite post ever. He found that on his own in the library? And read 4 chapters. Priceless. I hope to see his face looking through a peep sight on the cover of a magazine someday.
My boys only have to look as far as the bathroom to find my copy.

You are raising him right, if he's doing this on his own! Gotta be pretty proud of that.

My son got in his first taste of deer hunting. We sat Monday night on the edge of a field. He did well sitting still tucked into the stone wall. We saw four baldies come out, watching one for about 20 minutes. If she would have come into range of his rubber band gun she would have been in serious trouble!

I thought about this thread today after we got back from a walk in the woods. We jumped out a deer and my son wanted to follow the tracks. It was an absolute barnyard of tracks but with the warm temps most of them were a bit melted. I showed him how the fresh one looked sharp on the edges compared to the others and cut him loose. He followed it for a couple hundred yards with minimal assistance until it went down the backside of the hill towards the neighbors. Fun break from working on the house.

Love it, thats awesome.

I bought the boys the $34 WGI cams for birthday presents. They set them up around the house and had a blast doing it. Duke set his up by some porky dens in the slate piles, and we always set them up on our gut piles. I've had a couple stolen but I don't worry about it as much when its the cheap ones.
