I think you can probably pass on that, unless you are hunting dragons. Then you may need it. Kidding aside I don’t think you will need anything like that.

I have good luck with a Gerber folding saw. Small and compact and weighs only a few ounces. I can cut off a 2" hardwood limb or bush in about 10 seconds.

I wouldn’t want to carry all that weight. A 2-2.5” sharp blade is more than enough for hunting purposes. Such a knife is lightweight and easily fits in a pocket as a folding lock blade.

I move to a different location whenever brush has been a problem. Often two feet left, right, up, or down is all that’s needed.
