He's been fat for a while. Here he is in 2015. But, he looks healthier then.I would agree. That hairless fat bear is really looking sad and should be taken out before he gets sick....do him a favor. Now the other one is a nice healthy one.
Roger-
He's holding his weight fairly well.Right. He's a mess now. Look at his head and muzzle. Too bad for the old guy.
Roger-
Wow, that's an old one. I just looked it up. It said they can live 20-30 years in the wild.I shot an 18 year old bear in NH and it looked like a bigger bear. The skin was hanging off of it. I'm sure it was big at one time. No teeth left and claws that were super long and sharp. It wasn't moving very far.
Roger-
Yeah and My wife doesn’t like the meat. I think I’d have to have him mounted full-size. He’s been such an icon on the property where I’ve been hunting for 30 years.I think they are 2 different porkers .
I think the one looking at the ground is just wet making his fur look scraggly. Maybe just came out of a swamp
The date on those pics it was raining here in NH. Not sure if it was in NJ.
What makes me think they are different bears is the amount of white or yellowish hairs on their snouts .
The one facing the camera in the daylight has much less white on its face than the one looking at the ground in the nite pics.
A bear rug from either one of those porkers would cover a family room floor. The meat would probably suck though
