Long winter. Hopefully she pulls through. Although she may be sick. She is an adult doe. She should be ready to pop. Yet she is not prego.

They don’t “pop” around here til late May-early June. Even the healthy looking does are not “showing” yet but they’ll be bulging soon!

Hopefully when the vegetation explodes she'll get those much needed calories. How long before the 'bloom' pops up your way?

Getting plenty of rain here (like the rest of the east coast) but grass is greening and buds are starting.
She should have some decent browse soon! Kind of a cold front moving through now but should see some warmer days soon.

I don’t think she looks that bad, that spot could just be a missing chunk of hair, hard to say. This is a picture of a doe from last year that gave birth to twins. She has had twins the past three years and both have made it through the winter every year. She’s quite the reproducer. 707A6843-616A-4DCB-8FE8-AE338405B9F5.jpeg

I agree. If she made it through this epic winter, it’s all downhill from here!
