I've only used mine a few times so I'd certainly defer to Jeremy. That said, I was surprised at how tippy it is. Certainly not Tundra tippy but more than I would have expected.

Take a look at the area where the spindle meets the ski, specifically the bolt that attaches them together. There should be a spaceron the bolt. In this picture the ski is wide, if you put those black spacers on the other side of the wide spindle it makes it narrower. The difference between narrow at 38 and wide at 40 will make it more stable, that is if you are in the narrow stance now.

Agreed. A 600 ace tundra would be nice. Narrower, lighter by 140 pounds. I just spent a short stint cursing and ruining my new tailgate this morning to bring my sled home. It’s not real nimble.
Don't the 600's have engine issues versus the 900's?which I've also heard are pretty much bullet proof...like you have said. Been told that the 600 Ace is fairly common to start having engine troubles around 5000 miles. I really want to get an expedition...reason for picking your brain.

I honestly have never heard or read about one issue with the 600 ace and have ridden and know lots of guys with them. I know two guys personally that have exceeded 20,000 miles with hardly an issue. Little underpowered for northern trail riding, but great utility machine.
The thing about these Ace engines, is how smooth they are. Never have to replace a belt, bearings, etc. They are very gentle on the chassis. On my 2 strokes at 10k miles they had rivets popping, bolts missing, etc.

The 900 ace renegade will definitely by our next sled for all the reasons mentioned and talking with Jeremy in the past about his experiences with. In the meantime, our 2001 Yamaha sxr's will have to surfice with 2 kids in college next year. Talk about dependable sled all these years. Sorry for getting off topic Jeremy

it’s all on topic to me. Haven’t found any recent moose sheds anyway.

I spoke with a guy who shed hunts all winter long. He said, and I have no way of confirming, that the moose seemed to have shed early and it has since slowed down. He is seeing bulls with both antlers still. The shed I found this weekend was on top of the snow so it was shed that night/day.

Same. My upnorth neighbor and friend gives me pretty much daily updates as he’s out everyday. There was a bunch dropped a few weeks ago and we have t had much snow to totally hide them. It’s been slow since. I saw one bull with one horn, and all the rest were still carrying. I suspect like ground hunter said, today will be a good day with the cold.

We went Monday before the snow. Could not get over the number of people shed hunting and I was always behind someone. Maybe 15-17 inches of snow and very easy going.

Saw 2 bulls, both with full sets of antlers

Its pretty competitive here also. Haven’t found a thing and suspect the fresh snow has covered everything.

I didn't like where we went but it is what it is. Large peninsula with a number of camps on the lake. Holiday weekend sure didn't help. Guys were also still driving around. I found one road that was loaded with moose sign and no one was on it. That is where I saw the 2 bulls. You could still pretty easily walk around the cuts and in places there was 8-9 inches of snow total.

Sounds the same here, guys can still drive some roads in trucks, and I have seen a few guys going in on snowshoes, but mostly guys just riding sleds. My neighbor goes every day so I try not to overlap and get out further but then I get to spots that are getting hit by other guys. I did find a few untouched spots that had a lot of activity but no luck. I must have done nearly 150 miles off trail on Sunday with nothing to show.
