These knives are neither rare, custom made, nor expensive but they are quite useful to me. What knives do you all like, too? - TR

Mora, Cutco Hunter, Havalon are what’s in my pack. I carry my late father’s pocket knives every day.

One of my very good friends got married in August of 1987. He gave five of us who stood up for him at the wedding these knives as thanks. I’ve carried it in my pocket pretty much every day since. Nothing fancy but I keep it sharp. Cleaning fish, peeling an apple, cutting duct tape, even cleaned a couple deer with it, it’s been pretty darn useful. Thanks old friend!

I don’t know what it is about pocket knives but I’ve bought and lost more than I can count. Most of them within a week.

This is my favorite hunting knife but it doesn’t look quite that nice anymore. I don’t think the guy that made it is still in business but if he was I’d buy another.
I added an orange paracord lanyard with a reflective strip in it so I can find it when I lose it every time I gut a deer and put it down.

There's two stag handled knives rusted/rusting away in the Forrests of Bow NH that I left next to gut piles and never found again.

My wife bought me this for Christmas a couple of years ago. I like it a lot but I too have a problem with losing knives. I "lost" it about two weeks after getting it only to find it the other day hanging in my basement with a stand seat I had up on a hook. One of those, "I'll remember where this is because its in a logical spot" type things.
Thanks to Remember Baker I just ordered a reflective lanyard...:)

I’m constantly “losing” things I put somewhere “logical” just like you! It’s the human condition mixed with old age…🤣
I’ll tell ya though…when you accidentally, “find” it its like the goldfish turning around and being surprised by its castle (again) for the millionth time!😂

The new ones are made in China with lesser quality steel. I picked up a couple of the older ones on eBay last year so my boy now has one. They are small, take a good edge, and are easy to maneuver for gutting and skinning.

X2 on these. I had one with a gut hook on it, but apparently left that near a gut pile with no reflective para cord.
