Oh NO! ITS A GMO, lets all run for our lives!!!! Kidding of course, and a great example of how genetic research can help saves a plant species.

A 15/16 cross should be available to the public in the next few years. Looking at 2020-2025.

does that mean they hope to have saplings available to sell to the public or full grown cross bred trees I wonder? Cool stuff

I got about half way through the video and learned quite a bit. Its a bit dry so I will finish it later. Good stuff though, thanks.
We picked Chestnuts at Paint Bank VA, last year and I should have planted them. My daughter had never seen them before.

I don't think I have ever had a chestnut. Maybe in a few years from the trees we planted. Thinking about getting some more too. The ones we planted in VT with little to no upkeep besides tubes around them are doing great
