Reach out and touch Bullwinkle at any range. My ā€œvintageā€ (early 1980’s) Remington 700 BDL 7mm magnum with Burris (same vintage) 2x-7x scope. Rifle is in excellent condition with only a couple of small handling marks. All metal is ā€œas newā€ and deep blue with no pitting/marks at all. Wood is nice and is a gloss finish.
The best part is that this rifle is a literal, tack driver. No problem shooting across that big cut.
Rifle can be test fired on my property. I have some assorted factory and some hand loads to go with.
Have to start liquidating rifles I don’t use anymore and I have no sons to leave them to. My BAR will be my deer rifle til I can’t hunt anymore. A beautiful and accurate classic. Asking $1000
Prefer face to face sale.
Resizing pics to post…

7mm mag is an excellent round. I guided a moose hunter back in ā€˜09 when the herd was near its height in VT. He had a cow only tag. It was a sunny dry day following a day of torrential rain so when we jumped a cow around 1pm we were able to follow her tracks quite easily in the scuffed up leaves with the wet ground underneath. We followed her til almost 5pm with only a quick glimpse or two of her. Then we spotted her standing about 175 yards away, uphill, in a section of fairly open hardwoods. I knelt in front of my hunter and he used my shoulder as a rest to make one of the best shots I’ve ever seen in the north woods. That 175gr 7mm mag dropped the 650lb cow in her tracks, she never took a step!

Funny, because when I read the story, that's the first thing that came to mind. I bet that was loud. My brother shot a deer out my blind with a 7 mm mag. Didn't quite get the muzzle out beyond the window. He actually shot the zipper on the window. I had my ears plugged, slightly behind him. I think the blind came 2 feet off the ground.

Yeah it was loud but I was already half deaf with bad tinnitus to boot from 25 years in the Army at that point!

In keeping with some recent posts about rifle prices ā€œnormalizing,ā€ I’m lowering my price to $800 for members here only. 😊

Not sure how fast you want to move this but I wouldn’t go any lower than that price and would try to sell it elsewhere.

You mean gunbroker? Do you have ā€œelsewhereā€ in mind? Please share! 😊

Im sure there are a couple good gun shops up your way that will take in and sell a gun on
" Consignment " . I had great luck doing that and got full price . They usually charge 10 percent to handle the deal . I sold 5 or 6 guns like that at Riley's when they were in business . Always did well . They had a gun rack specifically for guns selling on consignment . This way it gave them more guns in inventory without having to use their capital . They were always willing to take the gun in if it was a sellable item. They would take their fee when it sold and send you a bank check for the rest . They would not take in overpriced junk that would sit on the shelf forever .

I have a local guy that likes to do consignments…just up the road. What I hate about consignment is every Tom, dick and Harry pawing my stuffā€¦šŸ˜‚
Maybe I’ll take it over to him and up the price againā€¦šŸ˜Š

I was thinking a gun shop in your area, websites such as gunbroker or even a place like rokslide. Let the buyer pay shipping

NOW LISTED ON GUNBROKER!
I just listed my .30-06 pump on GB last week. Got a dozen people ā€˜Watching’ but no bids yet.
This time of year big game rifles don’t move like they do in the fall. Just have to have patients
and wait it out.

Yes…I may have to adjust my auction to something more attractive to a buyer. I had a couple watchers but they disappeared 🤣 good luck on yours as it is a more desirable rifle these days due to the Benoit’s fascination with them. Never cared for the pumps myself.
