I bought 3 ball compasses from Amazon last week. They came in yesterday and I have to say I’m not a fan of them. I’m not sure if quality control was off, or this is on purpose but the line going through the ball is annoying as hell. 6AF593D2-32A0-43EB-9AC1-9F8B2D0BD097.jpeg

Probably knockoffs from “CHYNA” (in my best Trump imitation)🤣
Amazon is a crapshoot on whether you will get a real product or a fake…do they all point to the same direction?

Easy and free to send Amazon stuff back…if that’s any consolation…
Just have to drop it off at a Ups store.

The store I ordered it from is out of NC. “John B outdoors” off Amazon. Looks like he had an eBay account as well. I threw the boxes away, but I got a number off his Facebook page. I’m calling tomorrow and giving him 35.00 worth of my bullshit. I don’t have time or the patience to run back and forth dropping junk shit off. This is just another example of why I hate ordering anything online.

BUT since we have a society of lazy, socially retarded citizens that can’t even be bothered to pull themselves from their Netflix subscription to go grocery shopping , I’ll continue to have these dog shit products delivered. We can blame CHYNA all we want, but the demand is there due to good ol USA laziness of getting off their fat ass and supporting brick and mortar businesses.

I’ve used them for years, never an issue as long as they were Brunton. The 1.99 ones in Walmart….. not so much.

Brunton is the same company I use for the larger flat ones. They’re also the same compass that most Fish and Game agencies are using in their hunter Ed training classes.

I lucked into my last two, one was old stock at a small gun shop and the other I found in the woods. Not sure how it is on the model you bought, but I hate the ones that slide back and forth on the pin. I only get the ones where the pin is cast into the compass.

Here is a picture of two of mine bought at LLB beans. You wouldn’t see that line when it’s pinned on your vest as in the first photo, but when pin is directly underneath the ball then you would see that line on mine. Pin it on your vest and look down and see how it looks.AD01F16F-F861-49A9-A6DB-19548EB179AB.jpeg87F68134-FF54-4007-BE6D-2BFE63DB6F1B.jpeg

I know how it's going to look. The line is opposite of everyone I've ever bought before. They're either knock offs , or Brunton has severely slacked on their quality control .

I did some research this morning while drinking my coffee. It looks like this is the new design from Brunton. These are made in Wyoming . There doesn’t seem to be a phone number that I can call, but I’m not done digging yet. Pretty sad if they’re putting out this grade of product after all these years .

The freakin WWW has ruined us in more ways than one…they have us conditioned to use their businesses for the ease of clicking “buy now” and the resulting, collateral damage is the mom and pop stores can’t compete as we all know.
What are we to do? This is not going away…some are praying for that Asteroid hit the earth needs to make a clean slate of all the BS we’re experiencing. The drag queens and groomers are experiencing their time to wreak havoc on normality and shove it down our throats, pun intended.

Nope…but obviously, they are “out there”
Hopefully, a change of POTUS and administration will push them back into their holes and dives they crawled out of? Never been stranger times in the USA…just look at FJB’s picks for his administration…
