For the amount of money your willing to spend, your gonna get a very reliable gun in any weather or even on the salt! What I read recently in a shooting mag,, they tested it out and its really no different that the original SBE, the new buttstock doesn't make a noticeble difference in recoil, but the new cryogenicly treated barrels and chokes are much better than the standard barrel...it will throw out the shot pattern much more evenly and less flyers.

Hunterbeatle..I have the Benelli M1 and love it, except when you have to buy more barrels!
