Well I got my 7600 back from Kevin and I couldn’t be more happy with it. New Kick-Eez recoil pad, stock refinished and all the metal black Cerakoted. $260 for the job, and this 17 year old gun looks like new again. No scope on it yet. I’d planned on a VX-3 2.5-8x36 but the price went way up on them so it’s gonna get a VX-Freedom 2-7x33 in a DNZ Game Reaper mount.
That is real purdy. Post a picture of that laying across a big buck!

Excellent job. I love the Cerakote. I had similar job done on my Model 88, with matte bluing, re-finished stock, and Decelerator pad years ago. Pre-cerakote.

I wish my eyes were better, I’d leave it with open or peep sights instead of scoping it. Carried my 20 gauge youth 870 rabbit hunting today. Virtually the same dimensions as the 7600 carbine and has a matte, Cerakote like finish on it. Felt so nice in my hands!

Did you notice any diffence in the action? In other words, did the cerakote inhibit the slide at all?

Just wondering. I just bought a 760 in 243. Barrel is getting shipped tomorrow. Gonna come back as a 358 Winchester. Cut to 18.5" and recrowned. Then I'll probably get it cerakoted

Sounds like a great project. I just want to add that along with the barrel, receiver and action tube the slide rails and bolt carrier also got cerakoted.
