It’s not a carbine, and maybe that makes a difference in the price, but I just ran into a 760 in 30-06 for $749. I snatched it up with plans to chop it and have it set up for my boy to use someday.

Now why would anybody pay this much money for this Rem 760 . Look at the pics of the scratches on the receiver and small dings on the stock. Excellent condition ? I Dont Think So !

That is crazy. I have the exact same gun in my safe, same year of manufacture as well. Paid $425 for it about 7 years ago.

I got lucky , bought a 1954 5 diamond 300 Savage for $300 . It had a 2.5 power scope the brand name was China. At least it had Weaver bases and rings .

It didn't actually sell you'll see it again. the way it works is before they even put it out for bidding the seller & gun broker sets a minimum price they are willing to take.,normally thats the starting bid, if it doesnt get a bid after a certain time gun broker has a decoy bidder(its, actually illegal). log in And bump the price to see if somebody else will bid, everytime somebody bids gun brokers decoy bidder bumps it up again. if nobody bids after gunbrokers decoy bidder bumps it, the auction company simply, labels it sold takes it back waits a, while and relist it. i know, i used to work for an online auction company (curt d johnson) that did online auctions through acompany called k-bid. Com That was my job to log in under seperate accounts and bump certain items up. If someone didn't push the bid up from my last bid we simply Listed it as sold and realisted it when we did another auction. Ita, a, rigged system

I have bought and sold a bunch of guns on GB and never had an issue. There are sellers who are respected and some not so much. For 1911s there are two sellers who I trust.

$2100???? That's ridiculous. What would possess somebody to buy that gun for $2100
Someone who wants to sell it in 2 years for 3000? As far as I know there are no plans for RemArms to make anymore 7600's.
Prices might go back down, but they may not. Too many factors at play for me to pretend that I can figure it all out.

I stopped by a gun shop just before Christmas and talked a bit about pumps (they had a 7mm-08 in their sold lineup that struck up the conversation). He claimed he placed an order for 30 or so new ones, he didn’t say when they might arrive. I’d love to have one in 7mm-08 for my boy to use someday.

This 300 Savage sold last nite . Its not a carbine and its not a 5 Diamond . But looks like high quality condition.
Im surprised it didn't sell for much higher.

And sometimes while the whacko priced 7600 bidders above were sleeping , one slips through the cracks . This gun in my opinion was a nicer gun that the rest on them ! This market doesn't make any sense . Maybe all the bidders on the other 7600's ran out of money ! LOL
