Hello Everyone:

I was poking around on the internet and just became aware of the fact that a few shotguns are being made in what is new to me a 3" 28 gauge shotshell. Apparently it is pretty decent on paper. I do like the idea of a shotgun being around five pounds or so for all day carry.

I am wondering if it would be worth it or a waste?

A friend of mine had one in an over/under he used on occasion for hare hunting, it was a nice gun. There was a considerable difference in availability and cost of the shells compared to a 20ga. One day we were hunting a good drive away and he forgot his shells at camp, the rest of us were packing 20ga so he was out of luck. Probably one of the few days he never shot a hare.
