Just noticed the 2023 Maine Moose lottery application period is now open.
Time to make your annual donation.
Put my daughters application in but the system does not recognize me and believes I have no bonus points.
Sent an email but Ill follow up with a phone call in the morning.

Good luck to all

I’ll be putting in for bonus points for my son. He’ll have 7 bonus points by the time he’s 15, so that should help his odds right from the get-go.

I just got the postcard in the mail today for the NH lottery. I’ve got 17 bonus points there. Hoping for the best.

Just made my donations. Me and the family have 72 chances this year. Would have more, but just put in for points for my son(college) and my daughter(pregnant).

130 bonus points for me and since that clearly won’t be enough chances I bought 20 more. Fingers crossed. Good luck to all of us donors.
I had about the same last year. I opted for any permit available and drew an antlerless tag. I'd think your chances are very good.

I'm in and bought another bonus point for my son who is in college. Next will be NH, VT for moose, and a whole bunch of western states for elk, pronghorn, and mulies.

This is why I don't do the Maine moose lottery. Too many people buying bonus points. Seems like an arms race that I would not be likely to win.

My wife has 17 as well for NH. I’m really hoping they open our central zones back up.

First year I can get back in the lottery...I'm sure to draw LOLOL. I will have the 3 chances I was allowed to buy while sitting on the sidelines though

No entering for me. Had four Maine bull tags already, plus guided 45 -50 moose hunts. If I never see another dead bull it won’t bother me a bit. That said, I easily recall the anticipation and enthusiasm over the chance of getting picked. Very best of luck to any and all HC members who are in for a 2023 tag.

I can't apply yet (point only) but also am in the same mindset as mainer4570. I only apply now for the boys or grandkids.
