I would guess that it will eventually be decided by the Supreme Court, what it means until then, I have no idea.

The biodiversity bill SB 164 hearing was today

This was a bill we only discovered at the end of last week as the animal and wildlife guardian portions were tucked into an innocuous sounding though long bill

Thank you so much to everyone who attended. Those of you who spoke (mostly from NH DOGS and AKC ) did so very well and your efforts are appreciated!

Nh Fg head biologist Dan Bergeron and commissioner Susan Price also made very clear articulate testimony

We feel hopeful that we all made a big impression with testimony and letters. The only supporters were the sponsor senator Watters and HSUS

The actual scary part was in listening to Senator Watters bill intro as well as all his questions to those who testified was the un veiling of his blatant AR bend. He talked about a book called “Justice for animals” by Margaret Nussman multiple times

This authors prior book is “Animal Rights”

He mentioned this book so often you’d almost think he was earning royalties

Many sportsmen and animal owners consider Watters friendly to our ends, with this belief system there’s no way. Sometimes listening to these hearings provides interesting details

If you’d like to watch the hearing it’s in the live feed recording SB 164 https://www.youtube.com/live/-ZT7PcLkYm0?feature=share

SB 226 relative to the use of bait for hunting bear. https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/lsr_search/billText.aspx?id=918&type=3
Totally useless bill as there already ARErules for bear bait. The lobbyist lied to Watters the sponsor and told him it was unregulated. Watters has been informed by Fg and he claims he will request bill be killed
Stay tuned

Trail camera and stand bills were voted on by house committee

SB15 relative to the use of tree stands and observation blinds. https://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/lsr_search/billText.aspx?id=801&type=3
Senate passed
House committee amended- permission can be written or verbal, april 1 removal unless landowner permission to leave up, name/contact info required
No permission needed if removed by 4/1
Note as we read this: this means turkey blinds will have to be day use only. Unless permission granted
Possibly depending on how read/enforced all turkey blinds wolf need permission even day use
Next goes to full house lumped into multi bulls in consent calendar

SB14 relative to the use of game cameras.
Senate passed
House committee passed this but just barely
Next goes to full house
If you have an opinion on this They passed the original bill you need to write to write the house reps asking them to vote your preference when it comes to full house
Find reps here
