    Moose Lottery

Seeing they only gave 8 Non Resident tags last year I would always apply for the tag and not just a point. NH uses bonus points, so you always have a chance of winning...it's really just a big raffle after all.

If you could only have ONE big game rifle?

I have a 6.5 Ruger American Predator...shoots amazing for a "cheap" rifle. I also have a 7mm-08 X-bolt that shoots amazing as well. The 6.5 won't do anything that the 7mm-08 can't do. Recoil is similar. The only benefit of the 6.5 comes at extreme long range target shooting from what I can tell

If you could only have ONE big game rifle?

Either a Browning A-bolt or X-bolt in 270WSM, .30-06, or .308 would be just fine!

Ended the season with a bang!

We cut the deer up on New Year's Day. A bunch of guys drinking beer in a garage is never a bad way to end the season. This deer had NO FAT on him whatsoever, we have processed lean deer before but this one took the cake! Also through a tape on him at 135 6/8"

Ended the season with a bang!

Yes in Mass. He weighed 164.6# I would love to see what he weighed at the beginning of Nov. The first guy who shot it indeed got the deer. When we hunt together, whoever draws first blood gets the deer. We don't do deer drives. More stillhunting from opposite directions if that makes sense...

    Bowhunting the NMW

I have never bowhunted up there and would find it daunting to do so...my best guess would be hunting funnels or the back corners of cut off areas

Ended the season with a bang!

On Saturday a few of us set out to try and connect with him one last time. We weren't in the woods 15 minutes when one of my buddies shot right out in front of me. He shot at the buck and it went right down. After he reloaded he was walking up to it and it ran off. He caught up to it bedded...

Ended the season with a bang!

It has been a long season and Saturday was my last day to hunt. I have had pics of a great buck who kept hanging around and I've been hunting hard for him with a few of the guys I typically hunt with. We have had his tracks cross back over ours numerous times this season and it was getting...
