    Sounds like Leupold is getting rid of the VXR line but will offer the illuminated reticles in the other lines now. So you can buy a VX Freedom scope with the Firedot reticle.

    I have that scope on my 35 Rem set up like the below pic. The scope is really light and a good option if you want a little more magnification then a red dot. I think it would fit really nicely on a 7600. The eyepiece on the scope is a little smaller than most scopes but if you set it up right...
